CNC Machining Metal Plastic Elastomers Products Production & Manufacturing
COMSTOCK
INDUSTRIES, INC.
In June 1980, Richard Comstock Jr. began
his business as a machine shop involved in low production
and prototype volume parts. Today, Comstock Industries,
Inc. is primarily a high volume production machine shop,
manufacturing precision-machined products in ferrous
and non-ferrous metals, plastics or elastomers. The majority
of parts produced have been developed and engineered
jointly by Comstock Industries and the customer. This
joint development effort ensures a high level of vendor
expertise and customer loyalty. |

May 1982 saw the
addition of polyurethane's, silicon's, and epoxies as a new
line of business. Initially this division supported customers
requiring cast and machined rollers. Printer rolls, copier
machine rollers, capstans, drive rollers, pinch rollers and
other miscellaneous low volume rollers are now a specialty
of the company. Rollers represent approximately 40% of Comstock
Industries, Inc. plastics division. The balance of the business
is the production of technically complex products designed
and engineered from the customers concepts or adapted to replace
existing parts made from traditional materials.
To further our
technical and production expertise in the cast urethane industry
, we installed the E2 Shop computerized control system. This
allows complete job tracking and "911" rapid response.
In
June of 1993 our Mold Making Division was established to support
both the Machine shop and Plastics division, as well as provide
an additional capacity for customer product development.
Comstock
Industries believes that in the end, it all comes down to quality,
or a companies commitment to quality. We have onboard a quality
assurance expert, to ensure the highest standards are being
met and your product meets all required specifications.

Our Plastics Division is now developing
new composite materials to maximize physical properties
desired by the customers. Carbon Fiber Composite provides
tensile and yield strength that exceeds steel. Kevlar has
the strength of steel and half the weight of aluminum.
Urethane UHMW hybrid has an impressive abrasion resistance.
The best on the market for rotation apparatus in an abrasive
slurry media. Silicone with the ability to withstand 600
degrees F whether radiated of a direct convected heat. |
